What Is My Blog's URL?

One of the things that you can do is when you sign in to your blogger account as usual and go to your dashboard you will see "view blog" - you can either click on that link to go to your blog (thus being able to see your blog's address in the browser bar) or you can "right click" on the link to "copy shortcut" and then paste your blog address to someplace that you will be able to remember it.

Perez Hilton - Have You Heard Of Him?

One question that a lot of bloggers would like to know is whether or not one can make a living and/or become famous with their blog. Of course the answer is yes and one of the best examples of a famous blogger is Perez Hilton!

Perez Hilton started his own celebrity gossip blog. It got popular and he got famous - end of story - almost!

He now gets a lot of money from direct advertising on his blog. He also has his own TV show starting this fall! Rumors are that his is pulling down close to $1 Million dollars per year!

He says in interviews that he started his blog as something that he loves to do and it just became a money maker for him! It is said that he now blogs from the early morning hours to the late night hours.

So if you need an example of someone who has become famous and of someone who has made a living with his blog then you have no further to look than Perez Hilton!

Blog Review - The Computer Brother

The Computer Brother is one of my clients.

I started his blog for him, added both the adsense and auction bid coding and I then let him loose on his blog! As you will see from viewing his blog, you will see that he is very passionate about his blog's subject which is computers and computer repair - one might tend to say that maybe he's almost too passionate about his subject matter because he does have a number of very long posts.

Sometimes I think passion can be a good thing. With all the number of spam blogs and blogs that don't provide a lot of content, its refreshing to see a blog that is written by someone who cares about the subject that they are blogging about. (I also hope that this encourages other people who want to start their own blog but don't think their topic is worth blogging about). I also believes that the passion that is shown in his blogging is one of the reasons why his blog has gotten comments (which you can see on the side of his blog). He has also been corresponding with others that have read his blog and have questions or just general comments.

• Never underestimate how far-reaching your blog can be!


• Never underestimate who your blog could "touch" in one way or another!

Unfortunately the "look" of his blog is uneven because while he does have a lot of content in his blog posts that leaves a lot of empty space on the side of his blog - so I will be working with him as a continual client to help fill in the empty spaces.

There are a lot of add-ons and widgets that one can add to their blog but it would be most beneficial if those add-ons related to the blog itself. So while this may be a slow process it is better to add things that are related to one's blog then just to put something on there to fill in the void.

One Of My Current Projects......

One of the projects that I am currently working on for a client involves incorporating his business card into the template of his blog. I am coming to find out that this involves a lot of detailed work - especially where graphics are concerned!

I have completed the first hurdle which was adapting their business card to a format that I can use as the background for their blog. Now the next step is to work this design into the template of their blog.

I will keep you informed of my progress.

Blogger.com does provide you with some templates that you can use for your blog but you get about eight different choices and there may come a time when you want to change your blog's template to something else that's more customized.

There are a lot of great looking blogger templates out there but you are going to have to be careful if you want to use them in your own blog. Before making any changes to your blog's template make sure that you make a back-up copy of your template. That way if you make a mistake or mess up your template then you will still have a copy of your original template.

Increasing A Client's Blog Traffic

It doesn't matter whether or not you have adsense added to your blog because almost everyone would like their blog to have more traffic and more visitors to their blog. Sometimes people try too hard to accomplish this and they start to get frustrated.

I'm going to be working closely with this client since the next step is to increase the traffic to his blog. I have started to monitor his traffic numbers just to see where his traffic numbers were as opposed to what they are now. I have sent him an email giving him one thing that he can do to start increasing his traffic and I'm going to just how well this "one thing" works by monitoring his traffic.

Client - The Computer Dude's MySpace Page

Besides working on The Computer Dude's Blog, I am also working on his his myspace page. I have just added a new myspace background that fits in with the kind of theme that he wanted - which was a military-styled theme.

I'm Trying Some Search Engine Optimization Experiments

I did another check of my search engine results on Google's search engine today and I found out that there are now 3 links to my adsense blogs that appear on page 1 of google's search engine results for the words "adsense consultant".

I also took notice of the sites that are listed above my own site's url in the search engines and I wanted to see if I could make the link to my blog appear higher on the list of search engine results.

Experiment #1 - I just re-arranged some wording in a strategic place located on my blog and since I just did this today I'm going to give it few days to see how it turns out.

Of course my ultimate goal would be to have my blog listed first on page 1 of the search engine results for the term

adsense consultant

and so far it does appear on page 1 - with three different listings of links to my blogs!

Adsense Has Their Own Newsgroup!

I don't know if you know this or not but Adsense has its own newsgroup! While this newsgroup is just a reposting of the entries made to Adsense's own official blog it may be easier for some people to be able to get to and view this newsgroup.

Alas while this is a newsgroup and there is the option of adding your own replies to the topic threads, your replies will have to be approved first and so far I haven't seen any replies approved.

Is Someone Trying To Sabotage Your Blog (or Website)?

Have you ever signed in to your adsense account to check your stats and noticed that there was an unusually high number of clicks on your ads? You know that you didn't do it and you're wondering what is going on.

It could be that someone is trying to sabotage your your adsense account!

What do you do if this happens to you? Well the very first thing that you should do is notify adsense! You can go to their site and find out more about what you should do if you notice questionalbe click activity to your site(s). You can also contact adsense via email if you scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the "contact us" link.

Now the question, of course, is why would anyone want to do something like this? There are many answers. Someone may just be vindictive and they may want to try and sabotage your account by placing so many clicks that your adsense account might become disabled or even worse yet cancelled. They themselves could have probably been disabled by adsense and they are looking for ways to get back at other people. They could also be a competitor trying to get your adsense account disabled as well.

Adsense's policy on invalid clicks is that they will investigate such matters but they have the final say-so as to whether or not they will continue or disable your account. I have seem many people post about how they felt that they were dealt with wrongly as far as invalid clicks were concerned but it is hard to judge unless one knows all the facts.

So if you suspect invalid and/or questionable click activity on your adsense ads notify adsense as soon as you are aware of the problem.

This has happened to my and my blogs and I have taken note of the person who was at my site at the time and I have (and will continue to) forward this information to adsense each and every time that it happens!

And I am not the only one that this has happened to. Click here to read what another clickbombing victim has said about their adsense account being terminated. But he did manage to get his adsense account re-instated.
