Adsense Has Their Own Newsgroup!

I don't know if you know this or not but Adsense has its own newsgroup! While this newsgroup is just a reposting of the entries made to Adsense's own official blog it may be easier for some people to be able to get to and view this newsgroup.

Alas while this is a newsgroup and there is the option of adding your own replies to the topic threads, your replies will have to be approved first and so far I haven't seen any replies approved.

Saturday, August 11the - Site Maintenace

On Saturday, August 11th, 2007, Adsense will be performing regular site maintence between the hours of 10am and 12pm PDT time. If you click the link above (that is part of this post's title), it will take you to the site where adsense has posted this message.

As always your earnings will still continue to be logged and earned. It's just that during the maintenance period you won't be able to log in for 2 hours.

The Dreaded Adsense Email!

Here is a copy of the dreaded adsense email saying that your adsense account has been disabled:

Hello Adsense Publisher

It has come to our attention that invalid clicks and/or impressions
have been generated on the Google ads on your site(s). We have
therefore disabled your Google AdSense account. Please understand that
this was a necessary step to protect the interests of AdWords
advertisers.

As you may know, a publisher's site may not have invalid clicks or
impressions on any ad(s), including but not limited to clicks and/or
impressions generated by:

• a publisher on his own web pages
  

• a publisher encouraging others to click on his ads
  

• automated clicking or surfing programs, or any other deceptive
  software
  

• a publisher altering any portion of the ad code or changing the
  layout, behavior, targeting, or delivery of ads for any reason

These or any other such activities that violate Google AdSense Terms
and Conditions and program polices may have led us to disable your
