"How Do I Get Comments To Show Below My Blog Post?"

Please note that this only (so far) works with Blogger.com blogs.

If you would like the comments that you get to show below your blog posts instead of having them show on a separate page then what you can do is to go to your Blogger.com dashboard, then:

• go to the "settings" tab
  
  
• then go to the "comments" tab
  
  
• then scroll down until you get to: Comment Form Placement and check the box "embed(ded) below post"

*Please note that this does not always work and if the comments aren't showing or you are getting feedback from visitors saying that they can not comment on your blog that you should change your settings back to your original setting.

Widgets, Gadgets Gone Awry!

Unfortunately even though there are some great widgets out there they all don't always work!

So I have had to add another counter to this blog because it doesn't seem like the counter that I have been using for so long now is working!

I have to say that I like this new feature very much! You can't see it on this blog because this blog is still using the older template layout but you should be able to see it on my The Adsense Consultant Blog.

Not only can you add a listing of your favorite blogs but you can also include a snippet of information regarding that blog's last post and how long it has been since the last post.

With the recent flux of complaints about the bx error code problems that Blogger.com has been having for quite some time now - this is a very welcomed good thing / feature that Blogger.com has added!

Blogger - Can I Add More Than One Poll To My Blog

I already have one poll on my The Adsense Consultant Blog but a very interesting question came up and I wanted to add it as another poll. Didn't know whether or not Blogger would let you have more than one poll on your blog so I went to their "Help" section, entered the word "polls" in their search box. But none of the links answered my question.

So I decided to try it anyway (at the risk of losing my other poll).

IT WORKS!

You CAN have more than one poll on your blog on Blogger.

How To Add A Picture To Your Profile?

If you have a blog on Blogger.com and you want to add a picture to your profile here is one of the ways that you can do it.

Normally when you would want to add a picture to your profile you would have to provide a link to an online site that has the picture that you want to use. And you couldn't use just any site - it had to be a site like Photobucket which is one of the free image hosting sites.

But's lets say that you want to use a picture that is stored on your computer and is not already online. Well here is a way that you can add the photo that you have stored on your computer....

The first thing that you have to do is to make a regular post to your blog. Add the picture to your blog post. Once you have done that make sure that you click on "edit html" so that you can see the htm coding of the photo that you just included. * - Make sure that you copy the second html code of the image (the one that is in the "img" code). If you use the first image link code then it will not work!.

Once you have copied the 2nd image link / html code link, go to your "edit profile" option and paste the code into the box that asks for the url link of the photo.

The link should look something like this:

Then "view" your profile just to make sure that your picture appears.

Note - Your photo can be no larger than 50K!

One Of My Current Projects......

One of the projects that I am currently working on for a client involves incorporating his business card into the template of his blog. I am coming to find out that this involves a lot of detailed work - especially where graphics are concerned!

I have completed the first hurdle which was adapting their business card to a format that I can use as the background for their blog. Now the next step is to work this design into the template of their blog.

I will keep you informed of my progress.

Blogger.com does provide you with some templates that you can use for your blog but you get about eight different choices and there may come a time when you want to change your blog's template to something else that's more customized.

There are a lot of great looking blogger templates out there but you are going to have to be careful if you want to use them in your own blog. Before making any changes to your blog's template make sure that you make a back-up copy of your template. That way if you make a mistake or mess up your template then you will still have a copy of your original template.
